What unDraw is
unDraw is the set behind a large share of the empty states and onboarding screens on the web. The figures are flat, faceless and neutral, which is exactly why they fit so many products.
The useful part is the color picker on the site: set your accent color, and every illustration is regenerated in it before you download. A page then keeps one palette instead of borrowing someone else’s purple.
Good for
- Empty states, 404 pages and onboarding screens
- Landing page sections that explain an abstract idea
- Slides that need a picture but not a photograph
Worth knowing
- It is widely used — recoloring and cropping is what stops a page looking generic.
- Download SVG rather than PNG so the illustration stays sharp at any size.
