Questions

How much smaller will my PDF get?

It depends on what is inside. PDFs made of scans and photos often shrink by 50–90%. PDFs that are mostly text are already small and may not shrink at all, in which case you get the original back.

Which level should I choose?

Balanced (150 dpi images) looks good on screen and prints fine for most documents. Strong (72 dpi) gives the smallest files for email and upload forms. Light (300 dpi) keeps print quality.

What happens to my file?

It is sent to the Holsha server, compressed with Ghostscript in a temporary folder and sent back. The temporary files are deleted immediately after. The limit is 50 MB per file.
