Questions
Do broken links hurt SEO?
A few don’t sink a site, but they waste crawl time, lose the value of internal links and frustrate visitors who hit a dead end. Fixing broken internal links is one of the quickest SEO wins.
Why is a working link shown as broken?
Some sites block automated requests and answer with 403 or 429 even though the page works in a browser. LinkedIn, Amazon and some social networks do this. Open those links yourself before changing them.
Does it check the whole website?
It checks up to 150 links on the page you enter. Run it on your most important pages, such as the home page, main categories and popular articles.
