DNS lookup

All DNS records of a domain in one place, plus a quick health check of its email records.

This tool runs on the Holsha server. Files and addresses are processed on the spot and not stored.

Questions

What are SPF, DKIM and DMARC?

Three DNS records that protect email. SPF lists the servers allowed to send mail for the domain, DKIM adds a signature to each message, and DMARC tells receiving servers what to do with mail that fails those checks. Without them your mail is more likely to go to spam and easier to fake.

Where do I find my DKIM selector?

Your email provider shows it in the DKIM setup page. Common ones are google (Google Workspace), selector1 and selector2 (Microsoft 365), k1 (Mailchimp) and default. You can also find it in the DKIM-Signature header of an email you sent, after s=.

I changed a record. Why do I still see the old one?

DNS answers are cached for the TTL shown next to each record, in seconds. Wait for the TTL to pass. This tool asks Cloudflare and Google DNS directly, so it usually shows changes sooner than your own computer.
