Questions
What are Core Web Vitals?
Google’s three measures of page experience: Largest Contentful Paint (how fast the main content appears, good under 2.5 s), Interaction to Next Paint (how quickly the page reacts, good under 200 ms) and Cumulative Layout Shift (how much things jump around, good under 0.1).
Why is my score different every time?
Lab tests run on a simulated device and network, so results move a few points between runs because of server response time, ads and third-party scripts. Look at trends and the specific issues rather than one number.
What is the difference between lab and field data?
Lab data comes from this one test. Field data comes from real Chrome users over the last 28 days and is what Google uses for ranking. Field data only appears for pages with enough visitors.
