Questions
What size should a social preview image be?
1200×630 pixels (a 1.91:1 ratio). Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Telegram, Slack and WhatsApp all crop well from this size. Keep text away from the outer 60 pixels.
How do I add the image to my page?
Upload the PNG to your site and add <meta property="og:image" content="https://your-site.com/image.png"> to the page’s <head>. Most SEO plugins, including Yoast and Rank Math, have a field for it.
Why does Facebook still show the old image?
Facebook caches previews. Paste the link into the Facebook Sharing Debugger and click Scrape Again. LinkedIn has a similar Post Inspector.
